I’m going to bring back the creativity this year- instead of focusing on my technique (which kind of made the art from more recent years boring), I’m focusing on uniqueness and trying to give my art a unique charm, and also just having more fun drawing. Lots of my older work (see the highlights) has a lot of charm and personality.
I’m a different person than I was in 2018 of course, so the art is going to look a bit different now. Some other changes for 2023:
– I used to draw on Medibang Paint, and did so since 2016. I always had a love hate relationship with the drawing program but this year I’ve seen one too many intrusive ads on the application, and so I finally decided to ditch it.
– I’m using Krita now. It’s free and open source, and I actually like the brushes on it more. I’ve known about the application for years, but never felt like learning how to use a new application since Medibang was familiar.
– This year is all about making unique looking art with charm. I’m also bringing back the bright colours.
